Simple & Easy Watercoloring on Stamped Images (VIDEO+GIVEAWAY)

April 17, 2020

Happy Friday everyone! Are you all staying safe and healthy? Trying not to go insane with this new norm, right? I find myself doing lots and lots of watercoloring these days, to give myself some therapeutic time and to relax. It has been a wonderful escape.

I am sharing another watercoloring project with you today in hopes that you will find today’s video helpful, and that it inspires you to break out some of your supplies to get creative! Maybe you can make a card or two to send to your loved ones who you can’t be with in person yet.

In today’s video project, I am doing a very straightforward watercoloing technique on a stamped image. Its so easy, anyone can do it! Let’s start with the video tutorial first, as it is packed with lots of explanation and full progress of cardmaking.

Watch the tutorial below or HERE on Youtube

One of my favorite stamp sets was used for this card, and it is from the newest release by Altenew. I am so happy that all of us can still enjoy some crafting times and find creative escape during this uncertain time. Using watercolor brush markers, I was able to easily complete the card with fun, bold colors.

Below are some closed up photos of today’s project, so you can see the card in details:

Thank you so much for your encouragement! Watercolor IS intimidating for many of us. The watercolor brush markers with a water brush to add the water makes it seem much more possible πŸ™‚ Not a whole different set of supplies than what i already have, being excused for making mistakes at the beginning, and enjoying the coloring makes us all feel relaxed and ready to have a good play.

Good morning and happy Saturday lovlies!! πŸ‘‹πŸ»πŸ‘‹πŸ» I just realized my last post about 3-4 months ago was a glance at my studio. Lots of things happened in the past few months and Ive been just too stressed out that I lost my desire to craft. 😣Its been a rough yr for everyone and Im ready for a new start! 😍 Are you?? Im going to start working towards getting some routines where I can feel better and add creativity back to life. Why wait till Jan? We can start now πŸ’•

I just moved and finally got around to finishing up my studio. Im such a perfectionist that it took me a while to get everything where I wanted. πŸ˜… Im happy how it turned out and grateful that I can still have a place to work and craft. Im excited to share projects with you soon πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Happy Monday everyone- πŸ’•πŸ’• I was itching for a change so the other day I moved things around a bit in my studio. More therapeutic watercoloring session - I find taking the time to color each image with watercolor really helps me to relax. I think it has to do with a slow moving, soft transition of the pigments and water.
