March 16, 2020

Happy Tuesday, all! I hope all of you are staying safe and healthy. With everything uncertain, it is easy to feel anxious and concerned. One of the great methods of finding some inner peace is to bury yourself in a creative environment and get crafty! I hope today’s project and tutorial will give you some inspiration.

Altenew released brand new stamps, dies, papers, 6 mini cubes, and mask stencils today. I chose one of my favorite stamps from today’s collection to create a card that features a watercolored look with just simple stamping!

I have all the steps you need to know to create this card in the video tutorial below. So I will be brief on the blog post and share closed up photos. Enjoy the video tutorial!

    34/60 Today’s Color - Phthalo Green

This lovely green tone is a great color for adding depths to greeneries when watercoloring. Its rich and bold and can be very intense when layered. So lovely!

    33/60 Today’s Color - Ultramarine Turquoise

Happy Saturday all! Today features the last teal color in my custom palette, the lovely turquoise 💕 Even tho it has granulation, i didnt have a hard time moving pigment around. It flows beautifully with water!

    32/60 Today’s Color - Phthalo Turquoise

Happy Friday! Today’s pigment is this beautiful dark teal color. No granulation and it gives you lovely transparency. It does stain a bit so keep that in mind!

    31/60 Today’s Color - Cobalt Teal Blue

We are now giving into the world of greens! Starting with this lovely emerald color with lots of granulation - I know granulation in watercolor is a turn off for some but I am fascinated by it. I think its lovely to see these gritty textures 💕

    30/60 Today’s Color - Manganese Blue Hue

This textury, lovely color is the last blue pigment I selected for the custom palette. You can see there are lots of granulation going on and how clean the lifting is. Lots to love about in this color 💕

    29/60 Today’s Color - Cerulean Blue, Chromium

Check out the granulation on this color! Don’t you just loooovveee the texture? This is a very fun one to work with, I just love this color and its gritty look 💙

    28/60 Today’s Color - Phtalo Blue

Here is a beautiful blue shade to get rid of anyone’s Monday blues! 😂 I definitely needed a quick eye break to see this lovely color from today’s craziness. Hope your week is off to a wonderful start! 💙

    27/60 Today’s Color - Verditer Blue

Last color of February (can you believe its March already? 😱) Ending the month with another blue color from my custom palette - and I have a couple more blues to share before heading to the next color family 😉 This one was little tricky to move around with its granulating property, i had to layer quite a bit to get the intense look. But the lifting was oh so easy with this color! Hardly any staining.

    26/60 Today’s Color - Cobalt Blue

This has to be one my all time fav from the Daniel Smith collection. Look at the rich, bold color with wonderful granulation. Can’t get enough of this! 😍
