Hello! Today I am sharing super cute Christmas card using non-Christmas stamp set. Don’t you just love those monsters above? I think they are super adorable – I had so much fun creating the card using these images from the Monster Mash Stamp Set by Sweet Stamp Shop. Before I get any further into the project, let’s start today’s post with a step-by-step video tutorial!
These cute images were colored with Copic markers – I went with minimal colors for blending since they are not complicated or big images. I used Y17, Y19, YG17, YG67, R46, R24, R27, BG11, B02, C00, and W03. Make sure to watch the video to see how I blended those colors easily.
I recently purchased the Hybrid Black Licorice Ink Pad from My Favorite Things to use with Copic markers. These inks are great for Copic markers and watercoloring technique. I have been loving it so far!
I kept the rest of the card really simple and clean. I wanted those monsters to pop out easily and nicely – so the only finishing touches added to those images were those subtle sparkles from Wink of Stella and a popped out eye using the Glossy Accent.
Christmas cards don’t always have to be completed by traditional Christmas images. Bring out some of your older sets and see if you can make them shine!
