Hello! Creating a dimensional focal point for cards has been my recent favorite way to craft. Today I am going to share with you how easy you can achieve this look with just a few products.

When creating a focal point, I like to reach for layering stamps because you can create lots of small depths on the card without adding too many actual “layers” to the card. This way, you can keep the car simple and clean yet still showcase lots of details for beautiful outlooks.

For this card, I used one of Altenew’s newest stamps from this month, Life Is Awesome. Don’t let the stamp set scare you! When you follow the layering guide with any Crisp Dye Ink color family like this one, you will find that working with this stamp is so easy and enjoyable.

I combined my favorite color, blue, with a few shades of gray and greens to complete the flower arrangement on this card. For the last layer of each flower, I added silver embossing to add some shine and textures. Little bit of heat embossing can really turn your card into something unique.

While I die cut all the stamped flowers, I only cut a couple of leaves and the other ones I directly stamped onto the card base. This way you can add more depth on your focal point.

To bring the card together, I sprayed some Metallic Shimmer Spray directly onto the card base. After creating the flower arrangement, I stamped the sentiment in black ink close to the focal point area. This greeting is from another new stamp set, Thanks Around the World.
