Hello! Few weeks ago I purchased few of the Distress Spray Stains and have been meaning to test them out on different projects. Today I am sharing how you can create this cool watercolor background using these fabulous products.
Instead of using sprays to mist pigments onto our layer, I’ve tried putting the pigments directly onto the wet watercolor paper to let the pigments flow and blend with each other. The beauty of working with Distress products is that it may look horrible when working on it, but when you let it dry and come back to it the results are just stunning!
** When trying this technique, try not to touch the paper with the tip of the spray straw. It will scratch the paper and leave marks (ask me how I know!) **
I really love working with this technique because you can easily intensify selected areas on your project to give variations in shades. More videos using these spray stains will be coming soon!
