nyp_0715-2

I wanted to create a warmish card (just like the sentiment says on the card) for today’s project. So, here we have a Christmas tree with lots of sparkles with warm background. Want to find out how I created those warm, floating light looking background? Make sure to watch the video tutorial!

nyp_0723-2

Sketched Evergreen stamp set is perfect for creating a layered and dimensional look. I also added different shades to the tree using couple different inks and the MISTI tool. Christmas tree can’t be without some sparkling ornaments! To create those, I added Blue Lagoon sequins and Metallic Silver sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. You can see different sizes I used in the supplies list below.

What do you think of today’s card? What is your favorite color of sparkling ornaments to hang on your Christmas tree? Comment below, I’d love to hear your favorites!

This stamp seems to be very popular. lovely card.
My tree always has the traditional ornaments. No color coordinating, just an old fashioned tree with pretty ornaments and the old silver icicles put on one at a time. You can’t buy them any more because they have lead in them so I have look for them at estate sales or antique stores. I have ornaments from my grandparents and parents trees. Also a village underneath with the old paper/cardboard houses, lots of little trees and people and a skating pond made from a mirror. Yep, just good old fashioned tree!

The Christmas tree is fantastic.
There is so much depth to the tree,
the shading around it is subtle,
and the “ornaments” are so pretty.
Love this card.

Beautiful card, it’s really elegant. I love the subtle light behind the tree. I tend to go for a mixture of red and silver ornaments on the tree, perhaps a few white thrown in for good measure. Pretty traditional, I suppose!

Love the warm glow behind the tree. We haven’t had a Christmas tree since we moved to Crete in 2008, but we did bring our silver, white and pale blue ornaments. Maybe we’ll get an artifical tree this year…

May the new year is a much brighter and happier one for all of us- Happy New Year 💕

Happy Holidays and for those who are celebrating, Merry Christmas- Many of us are spending today in an unusual way this year, and many of us are also remembering those we lost. I ask that you keep others in your thoughts this holiday season 💕 sending hugs and loves to your way ❤️❤️

Made cookies and cheesecake brownies for our next door neighbors who are spending today alone. I added a little touch with stamps and inks to dress up the cookie boxes 🎁

Happy view 🥰🥰 New ink storage system for my office/studio desk. I wanted the most used inks right at my fingertips and these Alex drawers hold them perfectly. I am keeping both full sized and cubes together, along with 1 mini cube blending tool for each color family. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 #scrapsandstamps #inkstorage #craftroom #craftroomorganization #homestudio
Good morning and happy Saturday lovlies!! 👋🏻👋🏻 I just realized my last post about 3-4 months ago was a glance at my studio. Lots of things happened in the past few months and Ive been just too stressed out that I lost my desire to craft. 😣Its been a rough yr for everyone and Im ready for a new start! 😍 Are you?? Im going to start working towards getting some routines where I can feel better and add creativity back to life. Why wait till Jan? We can start now 💕

I just moved and finally got around to finishing up my studio. Im such a perfectionist that it took me a while to get everything where I wanted. 😅 Im happy how it turned out and grateful that I can still have a place to work and craft. Im excited to share projects with you soon 🥰🥰🥰

Took a couple of days off this week to recharge - mental break helps a lot! 👍🏻 While I enjoyed stay-home break, I finished swatching all of #danielsmithwatercolors - now I’ll build my own palette from these and start doing some watercolor with them. Seeing all these made me really happy 🥰🥰 Swatching watercolors are one of my fav ways to distress. What creative projects are you working on this weekend?? #watercolorswatches #watercolor #danielsmithwatercolor #danielsmithartistsmaterials #colorswatches
Hello, beautiful! (Yes, you!) ❤️ Spring (or summer) floral wreath 🌼🌺 - created effortlessly with brand new stamp from #altenew 💕 sending early summer warmth to your way, hope you are having a great week! 🥰🥰 #scrapsandstamps #handmadecards #handmade #cardmaking #layeredstamping #altenewblossomwreath
I decided to do something new and challenging during this #stayathome time. Took a beginner calligraphy class by @piecescalligraphy and I cant believe how fast 90min went by!! 😍😍 I have a lot of practice to do but really enjoyed learning. These are some of the things we did. My p’s are pretty horrible 😂😂 Cant wait for the next session!

Happy Monday everyone- 💕💕 I was itching for a change so the other day I moved things around a bit in my studio. (This happens more often than not 😂) Even just a tiny bit of change can bring a big difference and give a fresh feel to your daily norm. Controlling what we can and not losing hope 🙏🏻 I wish you a fabulous and lovely week ahead 💙

More therapeutic watercoloring session - I find taking the time to color each image with watercolor really helps me to relax. I think it has to do with a slow moving, soft transition of the pigments and water.

This card was made using a brand new #altenewstatementflowers stamp set and #altenewspringgarden
