Hello! Today I have two new cards to share with you – hopefully, these will help you start the new week on a creative note. I had so much fun creating them and they are so easy to do so, hope you give them a try!
The two cards I am sharing were made using some of the brand-new products that were just released today by Altenew. There are some amazing stamp sets and die sets you do not want to miss in this release! To check out more details on cool giveaways and full supplies list, make sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post.
Altenew carries some very cool background stamp sets, and the ones I used today are no exception! I used two brand-new background stamp sets from this release to create the cards for today.
For the first card, I used the Gradient Stripes Stamp Set along with colors from the Sweet Dream ink set. The fact that there are 4 shades in each color family is very helpful when creating “ombre” look on your projects. When mixed with a good background stamp set like this one, it is super simple and easy to create one of a kind background!
I decided to go with bold sentiments on both of the cards for today. So on this one, I used the You Are Loved Die, which creates this hand-written sentiment perfect for any sized cards or layouts.
To dress up the sentiment, I added two layers of Antique Silver embossing powder for extra texture, added dimension, and a contrast. This card totally screams summer to me, don’t you think?
For the next card, I went for more feminene and spring feel. This card was made using the Watercolor Dot Stamp Set along with the Tea Party Ink Set. In the video tutorial above, I shared a quick tip on how to get a good ink coverage on large solid stamps like this, so if you are struggling with large stamps make sure to check it out.
The sentiment on this card was created with the Mega Hello Die and the Rose Gold embossing powder. The die cuts a big, bold “hello” that is awesome to cover the whole A2 sized card front. I also added a bit of enamel dots for small accents to make the “hello” stand out easily.
That wraps up my projects for today! I hope you are feeling inspired after seeing my video tutorial and project photos. If you have any questions, you can always comment below!
