Hello! Watercoloring is a favorite technique of mine because of its versatility and flexibility – you can basically turn any coloring medium into watercolor mediums! Out of many products we can choose from, I am using a couple of reinkers for today’s project.
I am joining the fun Pin-sight Challenge over at Ellen Hutson blog today. The Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge is a monthly inspirational challenge based on a Pinterest Inspired photo that is located on the CLASSroom blog. There’s a giveaway as well, so make sure to scroll down to get more info!
From the inspirational photo, I decided to play with some of my favorite shades of blue and green to create a customized teal color. Reinker is very concentrated in coloring, so you only need couple drops to create a pallet for your project (unless you are mass-producing!).
I love the fine details of this image – and when you combine heat embossing with watercoloring, you can create a dreamy project easily! Check out the video tutorial above to see the step-by-step process of this project.
Since the image has small areas to color in, I used a fine tip watercolor brush for easy coloring and water controlling.
For the background, I added a bit of silver splatters small and big to create a soft yet nice contrasting effect. I wanted to keep the card simple, so “hello” sentiment is all I used to finish off the card!
Hope you enjoy today’s project. Make sure to watch the video tutorial above to see how you can create this card easily!
