I have been itching to share projects using one of the “just-released” dies by TDD. Do you see these awesome flowers? They were cut using the Pretty Petals Die Set. I love how easy and fast they cut, and they also cut so clean!! You got to try this die. It comes with 6 different flowers so you can mix and match to create different looks every single time! How amazing is that?

20140509_151220

TIP 1: Create different looks! I used couple of patterned papers for each flower die to create a versatile look. You can also use few of cardstocks for a verity of colored flowers!

TIP 2: Flowers come to life! Can you see that those petals have some dimensions? After cutting them, pinch the tip of each petal with your fingers to give a bit of soft fold. It makes a big difference and it is super easy!

I dressed up one of the flowers with the delicious Strawberry Solid Twine by The Twinery. The color is so rich and pretty, it is a great way to add a finishing touch. I tied a quick bow and glued it onto the center for the flower. Yummy!

I hope you enjoyed my inspiration. Wafer thin dies and twines can be great friends! Next stop is the amazing Wendy Sue’s blog. Also, don’t forget to head over to the Top Dog Dies Blog and The Twinery for a chance to win some goodies!!!! Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a colorful, fun day!

    31/60 Today’s Color - Cobalt Teal Blue

We are now giving into the world of greens! Starting with this lovely emerald color with lots of granulation - I know granulation in watercolor is a turn off for some but I am fascinated by it. I think its lovely to see these gritty textures 💕

    30/60 Today’s Color - Manganese Blue Hue

This textury, lovely color is the last blue pigment I selected for the custom palette. You can see there are lots of granulation going on and how clean the lifting is. Lots to love about in this color 💕

    29/60 Today’s Color - Cerulean Blue, Chromium

Check out the granulation on this color! Don’t you just loooovveee the texture? This is a very fun one to work with, I just love this color and its gritty look 💙

    28/60 Today’s Color - Phtalo Blue

Here is a beautiful blue shade to get rid of anyone’s Monday blues! 😂 I definitely needed a quick eye break to see this lovely color from today’s craziness. Hope your week is off to a wonderful start! 💙

    27/60 Today’s Color - Verditer Blue

Last color of February (can you believe its March already? 😱) Ending the month with another blue color from my custom palette - and I have a couple more blues to share before heading to the next color family 😉 This one was little tricky to move around with its granulating property, i had to layer quite a bit to get the intense look. But the lifting was oh so easy with this color! Hardly any staining.

    26/60 Today’s Color - Cobalt Blue

This has to be one my all time fav from the Daniel Smith collection. Look at the rich, bold color with wonderful granulation. Can’t get enough of this! 😍

    25/60 Today’s Color - Ultramarine Blue

Look at this bright/bold blue hue 😍 I am so in love with this shade and the granulation it has. While staining is very minimal, you’ll be able to get a rough feel texture with this and take advantage of the granulation effect!

    23/60 Today’s Color - Indanthrone Blue

This lovely dark, cool blue reminds me of a deeper layer of ocean. A bit of navy blue and a hit of royal blue well mixed. It is super easy to create transparent layer with this color, and the staining is very minimal 💙

    23/60 Today’s Color - Mayan Dark Blue

This color totally reminds me of whales! 🐳 🐋 (thus it fitting perfectly to my brush holder prop!) This deep, rich, intense dark blue would be wonderful for expressing depths and shades 😍
