Hi guys! On Monday, I showcased this adorable card along with a video tutorial over at the Inspired By Stamping Blog. This card features a HOT stamp set that is coming out next week along with amazing products by IBS. This is called Sweet Peas Stamp Set and is filled with these wonderful image and different sentiments. There is also a smaller version that is perfect for gift tags or smaller cards to fit your needs.
For today’s card, I used some Distress Markers by Tim Holtz. I wanted to create a soft look using some pink and purple colors. I used Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint, and Shabby Shutters. You can color along the outline and blend it using a watercolor brush or an aqua paint brush.
One more tip – If you want to pop out an image, give it some shadow. I took the Pumice Stone Distress Marker to go around the bottom area of the image and blended it to give a subtle shading. I think this really makes a different. Make sure to keep this technique in mind when creating projects!
What do you think about this sentiment? I love the elegant look of the sentiment with two different font styles. I simply embossed the stamp set using some white embossing powder.
I hope you enjoyed the card! Make sure to watch the video below to see the process in action. Thank you for stopping by!
