Hello, friends! Today some of the Inspired By Stamping design team members are sharing some very special cards for our teammate, Grace! Grace is having a little baby boy and we decided to hop and celebrate with her! If you arrived here from {person in front of you, link it back to them}’s blog, you’re on the right track! If you haven’t and would like to hop with us, please start at the Inspired By Stamping blog and start from there!
I know lots of people will create a card with boy color theme, but I wanted to create something super feminine just for Grace – so I went with gray and pink combination. I love how it turned out, simple and just pretty, don’t you think?
For today’s card, I decided to mix up few different stamp sets from Inspired By Stamping. Mixing and matching stamp sets is a great way to stretch your stamps and get more bang for your buck. I wanted the sentiments to be the main focus for the card, so I went with the Big Congrats stamp set and heat set the sentiments with Silver Embossing Powder from WOW. I love layering sentiments to be stacked like this, just for the interest it creates on a card.
Can you guess what’s on the bottom of the sentiment area? I used the Festive Frames Stamp Set, chose one of the frames in this amazing collection and only used one portion of the image. This way instead of using the image as a frame, I can use it as a decorative underliner. This stamp set is also awesome for Christmas cards!!
For the cute, adorable bird, I took out the Sweet Aviary stamp set and chose one of the birds from the collection. This adds something small and nice for the white area next to the big “congratulations” and brings everything else together nicely. Both the underliner and the bird are heat set with the Metalline Pink Embossing Powder from WOW!. I also added few of clear sparkling sequins as a finishing touch.
Congratulations, Grace! Thank you for all you do for our team and I wish you lots of happy moments with your new born baby!!!
I hope you enjoyed the card I shared here today- Maybe you can take some of your favorite IBS stamp sets and mix and match to create something cool! Your next hop stop is {person behind you, link it back to them}’s blog! Thanks for taking some time to hop with us–please leave some love with Grace on her blog, In Her Shoes, as well! Happy hopping and thanks for stopping by!
