Happy Saturday! Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with me today. It has been quite a busy week – stop by tomorrow and you will know why! (I am up to something…hehe) I wanted to take some time and calm my busy mind with some watercoloring. I was short on time so I wanted something quick but beautiful.
Many of you have been asking me about the ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers that I showed couple weeks ago. I still use them a lot, actually much more than the Acashiya Sai ones that I showed as well. ZIG Clean Color ones is much easier to work with in my opinion and I love the wide range of colors!
So to create above card, I stamped one of my favorite image from the Australian Nature 1 Stamp Set and stamped it with Versamark ink pad, then heat set it with WOW Bright White embossing powder.
I chose a soft peach-pink color from the ZIG Clean Color set I have and colored in the bottom area of each flower petal. Then I went in with a very small round brush with some water and blended the colors in. I made sure the upper part of the petals get more water, because I wanted those area to be much lighter than the bottom areas.
I did the same time with the leaves, added a very soft green color and blended the areas with water. I also went back a bit to add more shading. It is very easy to do with these markers.
Lastly, I went around the whole outer edges of the image with a very light blue color, and faded it with water. This helps the image to pop out easily, especially when you have white embossing on white paper. By the way, I used Tim Holtz Watercolor paper for today’s card. One of my very favorite watercolor paper to use.
SNEAK PEEK! Do you see this beautiful sentiment? It is from the brand new set that will be released this coming week! Make sure to stay tune because I will be doing a close up on May release for Inspired By Stamping.
Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to pop in tomorrow!
