Hello! I am back with 2nd sneak peak for Clearly Besotted March Release. Today I am sharing a easy coloring flower card. I am so in love with this Just Darling Stamp Set, lots of companies have been coming out with beautiful flower stamps and I gotta say this is one of my very favorites!

Couple weeks ago I purchased couple different colored pencil sets to try. I have been wanting to expend my coloring medium collections and have been debating between Prismacolor and Faber-Castell. Both of them have their own avid fans and haters and I couldn’t decide which one to go with. So, I purchased basic sets from both companies and decided to try them on my own. I will share more thoughts on them after using them for few weeks.

I simply colored the each flower with different color shade to pop them out nicely. To color in the flowers I used 2 shades from each color family. Faber-Castell is an oil based pencil products and they go on really smoothly and easy to blend together. I have been loving them so far!

Pictures don’t do justice, but I actually added lots of soft, subtle shimmers on the card. I used Distress Spray Stain Brushed Pewter for the main layer and Wink of Stella on the card base. Make sure to watch the video above to see how I did it!

  1. What a colourful card, so clean and beautiful and fresh! I like coloured pencils and would really love to try faber castell one day! I just use the odds and sorts that I have, including 3 or 4 prisma colours. They all have different qualities! Thanks for the video tutorial as well, it makes it so much easier to see how to do something!

  2. Very pretty card!! I love my Prismacolor pencils!! I’ve had them since the ’90’s. lol
