Thank you for joining us for the August Pals Blog Hop. Even though it’s only August we want to provide some inspiration for your upcoming holiday projects. This month’s blog hop will showcase new products from the 2013 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. We hope you enjoy seeing how we use the new stamps, new punches and other accessories!

You should have just left stop number 21 on the Pals Hop – Brian King at Stamp With Brian. If so, you are in the right spot.  If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

As you probably all know, if you flipped through our Holiday Catalog already, this is one of the AMAZING kits that are available now. Thankful Tablescape Simply Created kit (#133463) is designed to help your important holiday dinner settings so easy peasy. But, just maybe, you might be looking for ways to use the leftover kit contents. So, this is what I created!

SCRAPS & STAMPS TIPS:

– I used one of the patterned and textured paper that comes in the kit – the original use is to wrap the candles around but this will make a great card background as well!

– The textured paper adds great interests and dimensions to the card without much hassle. The wood-grain feel also makes a perfect fall thank you card!

– I also got to play with a new stamp set called Harvest of Thanks (W#131736 C#131739) and used it with the Apothecary Accents Framelits (#127003). I stamped the wonderful image in Chocolate Chip Ink Pad to add more of a fall-feeling.

– Another reason I love Stampin’ Up! products is that you can mix and match new and current catalog products. Along with the stamp set I mentioned above, I used the Wonderfall Stamp Set (W#131949 C#128087) and the Autumn Accents Bigz Die (#127812). Don’t you think this is the perfect companion??

– Crushed Curry Ink Pad was used for the big leaf on the back, and I used Smoky Slate Cardstock for the small leaf. I simply crunched up the cut out piece and added a bit of Smoky Slate Ink Pad to add dimensions.

Let’s Chat!! – What is your favorite products from the Holiday Catalog? Leave comments below. Would love to hear your picks!

The next stop is Kim Czenszak at Live Love Stamp, stop number 23 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting – and I hope to see you next month!

the birch background brought back memories of my dad…he had such a green thumb and he loved birch trees. I love it when I come across a technique on a card that I have not seen before…

I am with the others who cannot pick just one favorite item from the catalog….I can honestly say that I have two – sort of – the new foil paper….have it but have not yet used it….not ready to make Holiday cards yet…. If I pick it up to look again, am sure I can find several more best likes! But we are here to talk about your card….fabulous! I don’t yet have this kit, but will for sure save some of the wonderful Birch Bark paper for at least one card. Thank you for sharing your creativity!

Happy Holidays and for those who are celebrating, Merry Christmas- Many of us are spending today in an unusual way this year, and many of us are also remembering those we lost. I ask that you keep others in your thoughts this holiday season 💕 sending hugs and loves to your way ❤️❤️

Made cookies and cheesecake brownies for our next door neighbors who are spending today alone. I added a little touch with stamps and inks to dress up the cookie boxes 🎁

Happy view 🥰🥰 New ink storage system for my office/studio desk. I wanted the most used inks right at my fingertips and these Alex drawers hold them perfectly. I am keeping both full sized and cubes together, along with 1 mini cube blending tool for each color family. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 #scrapsandstamps #inkstorage #craftroom #craftroomorganization #homestudio
Good morning and happy Saturday lovlies!! 👋🏻👋🏻 I just realized my last post about 3-4 months ago was a glance at my studio. Lots of things happened in the past few months and Ive been just too stressed out that I lost my desire to craft. 😣Its been a rough yr for everyone and Im ready for a new start! 😍 Are you?? Im going to start working towards getting some routines where I can feel better and add creativity back to life. Why wait till Jan? We can start now 💕

I just moved and finally got around to finishing up my studio. Im such a perfectionist that it took me a while to get everything where I wanted. 😅 Im happy how it turned out and grateful that I can still have a place to work and craft. Im excited to share projects with you soon 🥰🥰🥰

Took a couple of days off this week to recharge - mental break helps a lot! 👍🏻 While I enjoyed stay-home break, I finished swatching all of #danielsmithwatercolors - now I’ll build my own palette from these and start doing some watercolor with them. Seeing all these made me really happy 🥰🥰 Swatching watercolors are one of my fav ways to distress. What creative projects are you working on this weekend?? #watercolorswatches #watercolor #danielsmithwatercolor #danielsmithartistsmaterials #colorswatches
Hello, beautiful! (Yes, you!) ❤️ Spring (or summer) floral wreath 🌼🌺 - created effortlessly with brand new stamp from #altenew 💕 sending early summer warmth to your way, hope you are having a great week! 🥰🥰 #scrapsandstamps #handmadecards #handmade #cardmaking #layeredstamping #altenewblossomwreath
I decided to do something new and challenging during this #stayathome time. Took a beginner calligraphy class by @piecescalligraphy and I cant believe how fast 90min went by!! 😍😍 I have a lot of practice to do but really enjoyed learning. These are some of the things we did. My p’s are pretty horrible 😂😂 Cant wait for the next session!

Happy Monday everyone- 💕💕 I was itching for a change so the other day I moved things around a bit in my studio. (This happens more often than not 😂) Even just a tiny bit of change can bring a big difference and give a fresh feel to your daily norm. Controlling what we can and not losing hope 🙏🏻 I wish you a fabulous and lovely week ahead 💙

More therapeutic watercoloring session - I find taking the time to color each image with watercolor really helps me to relax. I think it has to do with a slow moving, soft transition of the pigments and water.

This card was made using a brand new #altenewstatementflowers stamp set and #altenewspringgarden
