Good morning and thanks for spending some time with me today! I wanted to quickly stop by and share a card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. I have been “collecting” some Hemp Cords from Bonnie’s online store and wanted to use some of them on a card. I love all of the different colors that she carries and had to get one of each! (I know, I have my own issues. But I say they are cheaper than a therapy!) This birthday card is super feminine with lots of pink, red and a hit of purple.
My love for Distress Inks continues – I added those mix of colors directly on to the watercolor paper. No blending tool used here. Added a mix of colors and sprayed some water using my water mister. I allowed them to blend naturally on their own and dried it using a heat gun, because I am just that impatient! I love the warm and feminine colors on this layer.
Here I used both dark pink and light purple hemp cord from my collection to give a nice highlight. I think they really work well together wit the rest of the card. I wrapped them around together and tied a quick bow. So cute!! As a final touch, I added few of clear sequins for a fun bling bling effect. I hope you enjoyed the card – you can never have enough birthday cards on hand, right? so take out your goodies and let’s stamp together!
