Hello! I am very excited to be joining Newton’s Nook Designs for April to bring you fresh inspirations using their adorable new stamp sets. If you love whimsy, warm, and cute images, Newton’s Nook Designs Stamps would be perfect ones for ya.
Today we are focusing on the “Delightful Doxies” stamp set. Cute and playful images are packed in this set and it is so much fun to work with!
I decided to make this pretty dog fly in the sky with a balloon. And the sentiment goes perfectly with it, in my opinion. Kindness goes a long way and makes you feel like you are up in the sky!
I used Spectrum Noir blendable pencils to color in the images. These are great because the colors come in 3 shades so you can easily blend them together to create an in-depth look. I used Gamsol to blend the colors.
I added few clouds to create a sky. Parts of the stamped images are overlapped with them because I wanted to look as if the doxie is walking in the clouds. I used a cloud shaped die cut to create a template and added Tumbled Glass Distress Ink with Blending Tool.
I also added a stitched line along the edges to create a finished look on the whole card front. It is subtle but really helps the images pop out nicely.
