Quick break from Christmas cards! I created this fun masculine thank you card for Really Reasonable Ribbon’s Blog today. I love to play with different sorts of ribbons, and if you know me, you know i LOVE LOVE baker’s twines! I thought I needed a manly thank you card in my card stash so I went to work! I had so much fun creating this fun card. It was quick and simple- I used Stampin’ Up!’s Crumb Cake, which is one of my favorite Kraft cardstock as a card base and the main layer. I got couple of new stamp sets in the mail the other day so played with them while creating this card.
The cool background pattern is from Mama Elephant’s Modern Boarders Stamp Set and the sentiment is from their Many Thanks Stamp Set. I thought these two go really well together to create modern look. I embossed the sentiment with the white embossing power and stamped the background image with Navy Hero Arts Shadow Ink Pad.
Check out the ribbon I used here! It is Diamond Satin Moss Green Ribbon (5/8″) and this one has a such a cool pattern. I thought it added more interest to the card. And, it was so easy to work with!! I love ribbons that creates a clean bow. If you haven’t checked out their project lines, make sure to head over to Really Reasonable Ribbon website and check them out! I belong to their design team and it has been so much fun to play with their ribbons.
Last but not least, I wanted to add a fun bright color to the card, so I added Mistletoe Magic Enamel Dots from My Mine’s Eye. In the picture it came out pretty bright, but it is a light olive color dots.
Thanks for stopping by! I will be back tomorrow with another card for the Christmas Series.
