Happy Saturday! Today’s project features Day 7 of 2014 Holiday Card Series. I have to tell you… this took me about 30-40min to make it, but it is SO worth it! I love, love, love how it turned out. Can’t wait for you to watch how I created this adorable card – check out the video tutorial below!
I wanted to create something simple and super clean with a WOW look. So I decided to take some time and highlight this cool reindeer die cut from Ellen Hutson. It also makes it more fun to create a card using the Zipper Panel die. Julie outdid herself with this very first release of hers! I am loving all the stamps and dies I got from the release.
Making a card using the panel die is super simple, but you need to make sure you have some kind of reinforcement piece that goes underneath the flap part of the die cut out. I shared how to do this in the video so you can watch it and follow along easily.
I dressed up the antler part of the reindeer with couple short baker’s twine threads and few of silver and white sequins. It was like having a surgery but your patience will definitely pay off with a good looking card!
I kept the rest of the card super simple with some sentiments using white embossing powder. What do you think of this card? Worth the time, you say?
