Welcome to Day 3 of 2014 Holiday Card Series! Today’s card features a water-splattering technique for the background, along with couple of cool stamp sets from Inspired By Stamping.

Distress Inks are perfect for today’s background technique. I highly recommend that you give this a try. It is so easy and quick! I used Peacock Feathers, Stormy Sky, and Iced Spruce. Make sure to watch the video above to see how I created this “no mess” water splatter background.

The main part of the part features two stamp sets. First one is December 25th Labels Stamp Set which has lots of cool images that are perfect for cards and gift tags. I chose this circle image with the house sitting on top of a snowed hill. Thought this would be perfect for creating a night background card. Also the elegant greeting is from the Holidays Expressions Stamp Set. It is filled with lots of different styled greetings so you can create tons of Christmas cards with just one set. More bang for your buck!

Do you just LOVE the sparkles on this image? Wink of Stella Glitter Pen is perfect for subtle, soft shine. If you are not a big glitter fan like I am, I highly recommend that you pick up couple of those Wink of Stella or Wink of Luna pens for easy peasy shine effect on your card.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card! Check back tomorrow for a brand-new holiday card!
