Hello! Today marks the 12th day of 2014 Holiday Card Series, which is the very last day! Don’t worry, I will be sharing more holiday cards as we still have few more weeks left, but I will also be sharing other types of card using some fun products.
I wanted to go super classic and colorful for the last episode so I brought out some Distress Inks and couple of cute stamp sets. You can see here that those colors were used to create a night scene. (Make sure to scroll down to see a full supplies list) I put those colors down directly onto the Distress Watercolor Paper and added lots of water to blend them together. See the video above to see how I used a paper towel to do this trick.
Then I took out couple of stamp set to set the background and create a highlighted sentiments. I used the Central Park Stamp Set for the bottom background. I colored the inner part of the stamped image with Black Copic Maker because solid color image is what I was aiming for.
For the sentiment, I used this great set called Peace On Earth – I heat embossed it with Silver Super Fine Embossing Power. It just pops out so nicely!
As a list touch, I went over the solid city image with Wink of Stella Clear Brush Pen so they can have some sparkly shine. I popped out the whole piece with 3D Foam Tape and attached it onto the white cardbase.
Thanks so much for following along the whole series! Check out HERE if you missed any other episodes. Make sure to stop by on Sunday, Nov. 2nd for a fun organizational video along with some giveaways and discount code!
