Hello! Today’s project features a super fun and simple Halloween card using the Halloween Trio Die Set from Top Dog Dies. I usually don’t make a lot of cards for Halloween, but these die images make the process so fun! I wanted to create something simple and quick so you can easily duplicate.
The Halloween Trio Die Set has three different images and for this card I decided to focus on the ghost die image. I took out some thick white cardstock to cut two ghosts – for these I used Bazzill Marshmallow Cardstock.
Pictures don’t show it too well, but after cutting the ghost images I added a think clear embossed layer to make them shiny. I used the Clear Gloss Ultra High Embossing Powder from WOW to give this effect. It creates a nice texture on our ghost die cut pieces for more fun and interesting look. The ghost die image doesn’t cut the eyes, so I colored some pearl stickers with a black Copic marker (100) and added them on the ghost die cut pieces. I intentionally added different sized pearls so the ghost would look more funky!
Embellishments are super easy. I took out some gray baker’s twine and bundled them up to go behind of the ghost die cut pieces. These help to make the ghosts stand out more easily. I also added some white mini sequins and clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I thought they would go together nicely! Sentiments are stamped with gold ink pad to give more shine to the card. If you do not have a gold ink pad, you can also heat emboss them using any gold embossing powder.
I hope you enjoyed the card for today. Thanks for stopping by!!
