Happy Wednesday! We have something fun to celebrate today and tomorrow – Altenew is releasing brand new stamps and dies! There are lots of giveaways and great projects for you to check out, so let’s dive into it right away!

These days I’ve been really getting into gold embossing. If you’ve been crafting for a while, you know all of us go through these phases, right? I think I am stuck in “gold emboss everything” phase. So I decided to play along and make a card with simple gold embossing and a black cardstock. Something timeless and classic.

To create today’s project, I used a brand new stamp set from Altenew’s September release. There are so many awesome designs for everyone, I’m sure you will find at least a couple you fall in love with! And to celebrate today’s release, many of designers are participating in this special blog hop. If you came from Sandra’s blog, you are right on track!

Fall always reminds me of comfort and warmth. And cotton is something that symbolizes both to me personally. So for this release, I actually designed the Cotton Comfort stamp set used on this project. It is great for various occasions and you will find it handy when needing to make heartwarming or gratitude-themed cards!

I simply took out a couple of big and small images from the set and randomly stamped the images on the Jet Black Cardstock with an embossing ink. Then, I poured a generous amount of Antique Gold Embossing Powder to heat embossing the background.

I kept the card super simple and didn’t add much of other elements. The sentiment was also heat embossed in gold on the Jet Black Cardstock and then die cut with a rectangular stitched die. I added a few sequins around the sentiment just to bring the attention to the focal point easily.

You can easily mess produce cards using this technique to make holiday cards, thank you cards, and more! I hope anything you choose from this release will bring you some happiness to your crafting – hope you enjoyed the projects I am sharing today!
