Hello! Night sky background has been really popular in cardmaking so I thought I would share an easy way to create a galaxy background without putting too much effort. The best part is that this card uses inks and mediums you already have!
Video above shares a step-by-step tutorial on how you can create this card in just few minutes.
– I used distress ink pads to add colors to create the background. The colors used are tumbled glass, salty ocean, chipped sapphire, and black soot. Mini blending tool is perfect for blending them together.
– To add some bright stars onto the background, I used the Brushed Pewter Distress Spray Stain and Picketed Fence Distress Spray Stain.
– For the main point of the card, I used the Starry Night Stamp Set by Waffle Flower and heat embossed it with some Bright White Embossing Powder.
The beauty of this technique is that you will always get a different result – so feel free to experiment and play with it!
