Hello! Today I am sharing a gorgeous card using couple of stamp sets from Inspired By Stamping – Elegant Flowers and Lily of the Valley. They work together so gracefully, I thought these would make an awesome and elegant thank you card. I also tried a new product I got couple weeks ago, the Spectrum Noir Color Pencils. I know they are famous about their alcohol markers (cheaper than Copics and some people like it better than Copics) but since I own a fare share of Copics, I decided to not to invest on their markers but I would try their color pencils. They are really great for coloring and I believe they are well worth the money!
One of the reasons I love about these Spectrum Noir color pencils is that there are 3 shades for each color in the collections, so it allows you to create an image with great shading effect with a very minimal effort. I would recommend these color pencils if you are new to coloring, or if you do not want to spend too much time trying to perfectly color an image. Start with the lightest, go to the medium shaded one, and then reach for the darkest shaded one. They go on like a butter, very smooth, so you do not need to put too much pressure to get colors on a paper.
I love when different stamp sets work together so well. To match those beautiful flowers, I took out a sentiment from the Lily of the Valley Stamp Set (also from Inspired By Stamping). Elegant greeting goes perfect with the main point of the card. Few sequins were used to dress up the center area of the card to complement the cut out flowers.
Coloring doesn’t seem to hard now, does it? 🙂
