Welcome to Top Dog Die’s July Release! They have released few awesome and fun dies for you to play with and I am sharing couple of projects to inspire you today. So let’s get started!
First die I used on above project is using the Corset die. I love how elegant and detail this die looks. To pop out the die-cut piece, I cut out about 5 layers and adhered them together. This is one of the best ways to attach detailed cut out pieces to pop them out easily. I found a background paper that has a lovely doilies pattern, I thought this would go really well with the corset die-cut piece.
The “Hi, Lovely” sentiment is from the Friendly Flowers Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp. Don’t they look just perfect for each other? I attached couple of small sequins throughout the card and added a silver striped baker’s twine to dress up the corset die-cut piece.
For the second card, I used the Flower Lace Die as a stencil. This can be done so easily – cut out a scrap paper using the die and adhere it temporarily to go right on top of the card layer piece. Now you can use it as a stencil! I used few of Distress Ink Pads and Mini Blending Tools to create soft color background. The colors I used are Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Ripe Persimmon. Putting a background using stencils has been so easy and quick since Ranger came out with the Mini Blending Tool. It is a must have for me!
Don’t you just love the pattern of this die? This is one of my favorites from July release. For the sentiment, I used Winnie & Walter’s Big Bold and You Stamp Set and heat embossed with the Super Fine Ebony Embossing Powder from WOW. I love using the super fine embossing powders from WOW for sentiments and for any detailed images. They work so great!
