Thank you for joining us for the first Pals Blog Hop of 2013! Today the Stampin’ Pretty Pals are excited to introduce you to new Stampin’ Up! products that are available in the Spring Catalog or in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. We hope you find inspiration and ideas for using the new stamps, papers and accessories.
You should have just left stop number 21 on the Pals Hop – Kerry Willard Bray at Stampgoodness.  If so, you are in the right spot.  If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.
One thing I really want to accomplish this year is to loose weight once and for all. Here I go, announcing it in public so you know I am serious – I am going to loose 40 pounds this year!!!
I call today’s project a “Dream Jar” – I will be punching out card stocks each month in different shapes to add some fun and write dates on each piece as I either workout or take Kirby on a good long walk(at least 30min). As the jar fills up, it will give me a big pride and I will reward myself with a closet makeover when I get to my goal!
Alright, enough with my story. This jar is decorated with FUN, Brand-new products from the Spring Catalog!
Scraps & Stamps TIPS:
– NEW: I love our new Feel Goods Stamp Set. I found a perfect sentiment that would encourage me throughout my journey. I stamped out the sentiment with Pacific Point Ink Pad and punched out with Labels Framelits.
– NEW: The background paper used is called Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP. It is filled with soft and bright colors/patterns.
– NEW: Check out the ribbons on the top! I used both Old Olive & Marina Mist 3/8″ Striped Organdy Ribbon to add more details to the jar. I cannot live without ribbons!
– Don’t forget our Clear Bitty Buttons! They might not be new, but still add perfect finishing touch to our projects.
So there you have it! I hope you enjoyed looking through my project and tips. Why don’t you create one? If you do, please send me the picture of your project (lovescrapsandstamps@gmail.com), and I will share it here on my blog later this month.
The next stop is Mary Fish at Stampin’ Pretty, stop number 23 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting – and I hope to see you next month!

  1. Great idea! I, too, need to lose 40 or more and this is a great motivator. I was thinking as I was reading your blog that when the jar gets 1/2 way to treat myself to a new stamp set or keep all the punches in a bag and write on a couple, Youve earned a new XXXX! Thanks for sharing and best of luck to you!

  2. Hello Nicolle: This is a great idea, most of us need to get rid of some of those Holiday lbs. My goal is to loose about 20 lbs. that Ive got all over me due to some lack of exercise and some stress. Keep your goal in sight at all times, you will have some days when you will be looking for any excuse not to workout but dont succumb to that little voice that tells you to ahh, you can always do this tomorrow, stand up tall and just go and do what you have to do that day, believe me, you will feel amazing.I wish you the best as you start your Journey.Maria.

  3. What a great idea! Think I will make one for myself and each of my children…..as a mini-goal is reached a new punch, with the accomplishment written on it, goes into the jar. When the ultimate goal is reached….the jar gets emptied and the punches can be used on a scrapbook page to chronicle the journey along with photos of the ride to success! The visual of the jar filling up…..brilliant! Good luck on your journey…..keep us posted as your jar fills up!Cheryl

  4. What a wonderful project! Not only is it just gorgeous to look at, but so inspiring. Good luck with your weight loss goals – I think making it public is a great start. I did it with weight loss and smoking and I know its difficult but you can do it!

  5. I love the dream jar idea and the colorful papers you used to create it! Good luck with your weight loss goal! Its great to have goals! My goal is to not only create more but to learn how to take pictures and post my creations on my blog! Thanks for sharing with us!

  6. Dream Jar! What a great idea! So many uses. Hmmmm…. I think I could use it for goals and aspirations. Thank you Nicole.

  7. What a wonderful idea — it does help to see the progress one makes on a journey. I know you can reach your goals with such a wonderful tool. I also like how you displayed the new ribbons on the jar — it adds that special touch. You go girl!!!Sharon S.
