Hello! I am back today with adorable Christmas gift tags to share. I wanted to come up with something simple yet has lots of personal touch so you can do some easy peasy gift tagging for the upcoming holiday season. (Who is already making a list and checking it twice?)
Let’s get right to them. For all the gift tags I used the December 25th Labels Stamp Set from Inspired By Stamping. I chose three images from the set and stamped them on 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 white cardstock. For the first tag, I used Stargazer Pigment Ink Pad from Mama Elephant and heat set the image with some Clear Gloss Superfine Embossing Powder. I also added a rhinestone where the bow is (for the bell) to had a simple accent. I used Pacific Point Cardstock for the tag base.
If you would like, you can add a bit of baker’s twine on the corner so you can tie to the present. You can stick it right onto the gift with some glue dots if you prefer that way.
For the second gift tag, I used this cute snowman image. I love how he is holding the present! I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black Pigment Ink and heat set is with Clear Gloss Superfine Embossing Powder. Then I added some red, green, and blue color using some markers. Simple yet colorful! I used Green Leaf Cardstock for the base.
I know some of you out there have a hard time using black embossing powders with detailed images. Your best method would be using a very good black pigment ink pad that gives you a crisp result and using a clear embossing powder with it. Pigment ink pad is great because it says juicy for a while so you can heat set it quickly for a better impression on projects. If you always get frustrated with using some colored embossing powders, try using pigment ink pads and heat setting them with clear embossing powder. It will work like a charm!
The last one is probably my favorite of all. I love how elegant and clean this looks. I used the “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year” image from the set and stamped it with Versamark Ink Pad. I used White Superfine Embossing Powder and heat set it for some dimensions. I just love how detailed the image is!
Do you see the subtle shimmer on the background? I used Smoky Slate Cardstock as the layer and went over the whole piece with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen. It is so awesome how a bit of shimmer makes a big difference. The embossed area resists the glitters and only allows the gray part of the card to show the shimmer. Very soft, yet elegant.
I hope you enjoyed today’s quick inspiration. Gift tags don’t have to be super fancy or take a long time to create! Grab the December 25th Labels set and you are good to go. Do you create lots of gift tags for the holiday? Do you mass produce them? Leave me a comment below!
