Hello! Today I am joining the amazing the Sparkle & Shine Challenge them for our 2nd challenge of the month!
On the 15th of each month, there will be a fun sketch challenge for you to indulge.
Here is my take. I wanted to create a naturally formed diagonal background using some ink. I used Tumbled Glass and Dusty Concord Distress Inks and blended them on the background. Even though this is not a watercolored piece, I used Distress Watercolor paper for the background because I love the texture of the watercolor paper. It adds a nice interested to the whole card.
I also cutout the background layer with Stitched Rectangular Die to add some stitched line along the edges, and also cutout a stitched tag piece for a focal point.
Check out the flower on the tag, isn’t it so pretty? I used Big, Bold, and The Extras Stamp Set by Winnie & Walter and colored the flower in with Copics and fussy cut the image. If you look closely, you will see light flower images on the tag as well, I used solid flower image from the same set and stamped with 2nd generation image.
As a final touch, I added some Marshmallow 4mm sequins and Sparkling Clear 6mm sequins from Pretty pink posh. It is a simple card but has lots of textures and colors.
Hope you liked today’s card! Thanks for stopping by.
