**VIDEO** Color Stripe Birthday Card

Happy Saturday! Today I am featuring a fun, colorful card using the new 2014 Hero Arts Shadow Ink Pads. I love all the soft and bright colors and am very, very pleased with them. The new colors are Lime Green, Ultra Pink, Lemon Yellow, Soft Vanilla, Dark Quartz, and Blackboard. Besides the Soft Vanilla, rest of them are all mid-tone ink pads. So for this card, I wanted to use some of the thin strips of white cardstock – we all have some of those hanging around as scraps, right? So why not put them to use?

So I directly put those strips onto each ink pad so they would be colored just like regular cardstocks. With Hero Arts Shadow Inks, it may look uneven at first but as they try it evens out and becomes really smooth. As you can see above the picture, you can hardly tell they were made by using ink pads.

I really love the Blackboard ink pad – I just call this my new fav. black dye ink, in truth it is more like a really dark charcoal color. And it is oh, so juicy! I used Blackboard for the sentment rather than using it as one of the strips since it might bring the whole color tone down by a lot. Make sure to watch the video tutorial to see how I made this fun card. Hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

**VIDEO** Sending Buckets of Love Card

Happy Friday and Happy New Year! I am back after a long absent from crafting to spend holidays with my family. Everyone flew in from out of state, out of country and what a full house we had! It was sooooo much fun! Now I am back on schedule with a new episode of Start to Finish video. This card is actually created for a post I did at the Really Reasonable Ribbon’s blog but wanted to share more details with you all since it was so much fun and easy to create.

I used couple of stamp elements from the SSS November Card Kit stamp set called Love This, and played around with few of Hero Arts Shadow Ink Pads. I love those colors! Make sure to watch the tutorial video below to see how I create this adorable card.

One more thing before I go – I cleaned out my crafting area again to make some room for new goodies I will be getting this year. (I am joining few new design teams and will share those news with you soon!) If you want to grab some of my used stamp sets, papers, and ribbons, make sure to check out my gallery to see pictures of sale items. They are going fast!

Thanks for stopping by!

Good Day Card

Hello from Big Island, Hawaii!

I wanted to share this great picture I took on our drive today. My hubby LOVES this drive so when we visit Big Island we like to drive on this road. It was so pretty and wonderful! I will share pictures of the ocean later on this week 🙂

This is going to be a quick post since we are about to have a dinner pretty soon. I created this card the day before my trip, so I wanted to share.

I used Very Vanilla Cardstock (Stampin’ Up!) as a card base, and used a patterned paper from the Simple Stories ‘Say Cheese’ Paper Pack.

The main sentiment is from Technique Tuesday ‘Good Day’ Stamp Set. I love this bold stamp! I used Royal Red Shadow Ink Pad (Hero Arts) to stamp the sentiment and punched it out with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch (Stampin’ Up!).

Couple of finishing touches – Used Island Indigo Baker’s Twine and Elements Cute Clip (Stampin’ Up!), Wood Veneer and “Noted” Enamal Dots (Studio Calico).

It was a super fun card to make and pretty easy and fast! Thanks for stopping by and I will catch you later!
