Hi guys!!! My goodness, i have been so swamped with work I was not able to get my video done on time. I have some catching up to do so I can finish the series by the end of this month.ย Here is the new episode for our Holiday Card Series, and I stepped out of my comfort zone and did full-on watercoloring with Distress Markers! I never worked with those before so this was a big challenge for me. Please look over my imperfections. But I had so much fun creating this card. I used the Christmas Friends from Penny Black for the main image and used the Holiday Envelope Sentiment Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp for the sentiment.

You might notice that I colored the cat in a specific way – I wanted the cat image to look similar to our cat Honeydew. She is 5 years old and has very interesting color mix as you can see in the picture. Her brother was an orange tabby cat like Garfield and her sister was pure black and white color mix. We adopted Honeydew because I fell in love with her coloring when I first saw her! She has mix of her brother’s and her sisters coloring.

I always wanted to feature my furry babies into my projects and i thought this card was a perfect one to do so!! If you come across any cool stamp set that has Corgi, let me know ๐Ÿ™‚ I would love to share my puppy baby’s story with you all.

The colors I used from the Distress Markers are: Pumice Stone, Black Soot, Spiced Marmalade, Worn Lipstick, Barn Door, Festive Berries, Pine Needles, and Peeled Paint. I also added some Dazzling Details from Stamp Up! to add little bit of shine to the berries.

Hope you enjoy today’s card! I will be back tomorrow with a fun blog post.
